Speakers:  

Sara Cohen (she/her) is an associate dean of admissions at the University of Pennsylvania, where she oversees strategy and implementation of recruitment and outreach efforts. In this role, she also evaluates applications from domestic and international territories, serves as a committee chair, and manages a team of staff members. Sara is currently amidst her 8th admission cycle at Penn, and she has held prior admissions roles at Amherst College and Middlebury College. She holds a bachelors degree from Middlebury College and a Masters degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Education. She currently serves on NACAC’s Admissions Practices Committee and is a past participant in the College Board’s Enrollment Leadership Academy.

Chuck Bachman is a recent retiree after completing 37 years as a college admission officer, the last 22 of which were served at Lafayette College as a Senior Associate Director of Admission.  Chuck holds two Bachelor degrees from King's College and a Masters degree from the University of Connecticut Graduate School of Education. Bachman also served at King's College and Ohio Wesleyan University, is a PACAC Past President and served on the NACAC State & Regional Presidents Council as well as NACAC's Membership and Fund Development Committees. He was the 2012 recipient of the PACAC Gustafson Award and strives to bring both candor, humor and common sense to the college search process.

Audience:  Secondary and Postsecondary admissions and school counseling professionals looking to hone their skills and implement best ethical practices into their work.
