Admission Boot Camp - West 

We’re excited to introduce ABC: Admissions Boot Camp — a one-day professional development event designed especially for new (or new-ish!) admissions professionals.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to build connections and deepen your understanding of the admissions field. Sessions will cover key topics like the importance of our work, travel tips, data insights, and how to grow your professional network. To make it convenient for all members of PACAC, we’re offering two locations:

This one will be August 11th at Allegheny College.

Tentative Schedule:

• 8:45-9:30: Check-in and Coffee and Pastries
• 9:30 Welcome and introduction of staff and participants
• 10-10:50 Topic 1: ABC’s :ABC's of admissions; funnel, acronyms, admissions hot topics and why they matter.
• 11-11:50 Topic 2:  Data: Why does it matter?
• 12-1 Lunch Break
• 1-1:50 Topic 3:  Travel: Road tested Road approved
• 2-2:50 Topic 4: Know your audience: Communicating with different demographics in and out of the office
• 3-3:50 Topic 5:  How do you learn your own school?
• 4-4:15 Closing remarks and Goodbyes

Cost:  College Member $75; Secondary School Member $50
           Nonmember $125
           Memberships purchased now, will be good through 8/31/2025

**PACAC provides financial support to attend PACAC professional development opportunities through the Counselor Assistance Program Grants.  Applications are due by August 1st.

Cancellation Policy: 

• Cancellations made by August 1, 2025 will be honored (minus a $10 administrative fee).
• Cancellations made after August 1, 2025 will not be issued a refund.
  (Registrations made after August 1st will be invoiced, even if not attending)
