For the past 10 years, PACAC has provided its Camp College (CC) experience for students in the Commonwealth to come together and learn about the College Admissions process. CC has brought together College Admissions experts from around the state to provide this vital information and guidance, specifically targeting first-generation, low-income, underrepresented student populations. CC has always been free and focused on inclusion, access, and success in the college admissions process.

Camp College has been in the process of a rebrand. Our goal with this rebrand is to equip those with a passion for mentoring their rising high school seniors with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to guide students through the college admissions process and help them achieve their academic and career goals.

Step one of this process has been working with a committee to develop a comprehensive and effective curriculum for college counselors to use when executing their own Camp College. The next step to this process is to run through our curriculum with students and interested colleagues in a virtual platform.

Camp College will be hosting a virtual experience again this year, and are excited to do so on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. This virtual setting is open not only to students at your schools but also to any member of PACAC who wants to host their own Camp College one day. We would love to have counselors join and give feedback to the curriculum before we go live with this in the summer of 2025.

Session topics include - College Admission Fundamentals, Paying For College, Writing a Great College Essay, and so many more!

Platform - we will use Zoom, a free platform that can be accessed on any phone, tablet, or computer.  To earn a Certificate of Completion, the participant must have access to Zoom's video feature, and you must attend LIVE.

And best of all, there is no cost to students to attend this amazing camp!
