Admission Boot Camp

PACAC is happy to offer our Admission Boot Camp (formerly known as the August Admission Workshops) in two locations!

This opportunity is for College Admissions Counselors new to the profession to discuss the value of our work, current issues in higher education, working toward equity and inclusion in our profession, and more! During the program, attendees will gather in an informal setting for dialogue, idea exchange, and collaboration, and depart having gained a network of colleagues for continued professional communication and support.

Tentative Schedule for both locations:

8:45-9:30      Check-in and Coffee and Pastries

9:30              Welcome and introduction of staff and participants

10-10:50      Topic 1: ABC's of admissions; funnel, acronyms, admissions hot topics and why they matter.

11-11:50       Topic 2:  Data: Why does it matter?

Noon-1         Lunch Break

1-1:50           Topic 3:  Travel: Road tested Road approved

2-2:50           Topic 4: Know your audience: Communicating with different demographics in/out of the office

3-3:50           Topic 5:  How do you learn your own school?

4-4:15           Closing remarks and Goodbyes

College Member $75; Secondary School Member $50

           Memberships purchased now, will be good through 8/31/2025

**PACAC provides financial support to attend PACAC professional development opportunities through the Counselor Assistance Program Grants.  Applications are due by August 1st.

 

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made by August 1, 2025 will be honored (minus a $10 administrative fee).
  • Cancellations made after August 1, 2025 will not be issued a refund.
    (Registrations made after August 1st will be invoiced, even if not attending)
